The Ford Fiesta is an internationally acclaimed performing sedan. This diesel vehicle from the Ford India Limited was launched in 2004 and updated in 2009. The FIPL has launched fresh models in June 2014.

Affordable prices

The Ford Fiesta comes in 3 diesel variants only in trims of the Ambiente, the Trend and the Titanium, all with manual transmission. The variants are priced Rupees 8.50, 9.40 and 10.19 lakh respectively. When compared to the rivals these prices are quite competitive.

Trendy exteriors

The Ford Fiesta has all the looks of a modern car. An Austin Martin like grille, head light fittings that flow to the back of the hood and the bumper with new fog lamp housings are the features at the front. The side profile with aerodynamic creases, new wheels and covers, body coloured electrical ORVMs with turn indicators and a new rear bumper with a chrome strip give premium looks to the car.

Comfortable cabins

The cabin of the ford Fiesta has a lot of leg room for the front passengers. It is a bit cramped at the rear. The basic comfort features include a manual AC, power steering with tilt adjustment, fabric upholstery and Electric ORVMs. The top variants have 2 Din music system, an automatic AC, leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, reverse parking sensors, a keyless entry, rain sensing wipers, push buttons for start/stop and the Ford SYNC infotainment system with voice control.

 

Retuned performing engines

The retuned engines give fantastic mileages of 25.01 kmpl. The car powered by a 1.5L, 90 bhp and 204 Nm torque TDI engine takes 12 sec for 0 to 100 kmph acceleration and the top speed is 175 kmph.

Safety of the passengers

Besides the 2 air bags (1 for the base variant) an engine immobiliser, central and child lock facilities, electric power steering with pull drift compensation system, energy absorbing bumpers and reinforced doors are provided for the safety of the passengers.

Quality ride

The ventilated disc and self adjusting drum brakes combination complemented by ABS and EBD give perfect braking in congested roads. The suspension system with independent McPherson strut with coil springs and anti roll bar at the front and semi independent torsion beams with twin gas and oil filled shock absorbers make the ride comfortable.
